The mayor of Dearborn Heights confirmed the suspect behind the shooting and vehicle-ramming attack at a Detroit-area synagogue had "lost several members of his own family … in an Israeli attack on their home in Lebanon." This doesn't justify the attack. It does explain the rage. And it fits a pattern everyone in power keeps pretending doesn't exist: bomb enough civilian families and eventually the grief shows up somewhere.
