A THAAD battery is not cheap radar equipment, it's one of the most advanced missile defense systems on the planet, and Iran just turned one into scrap metal before it was even operational. The US tried to position it in Jordan. Iran hit it almost immediately. Either the deployment was sloppy or Iran has better intel than anyone wants to admit. Both options are terrifying.
