Saudi and Kuwait block Trump's Hormuz gambit

Trump wanted to unilaterally reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia killed it by suspending US base access and overflight rights. Kuwait followed suit on the same. This is what happens when you treat allies like subordinates. The admin thought they could just order military operations in the region without permission. Turns out you actually need the countries hosting your bases.
