Collectibles bubble eating crypto's lunch

Someone just liquidated $2.75M in crypto to buy sealed Pokemon cards and is going to rip them all open without looking at prices. This is what peak asset-class desperation looks like. Crypto got too toxic, the returns dried up, so now the speculation energy is flooding into sealed cardboard as a "real collectible." It's the same manic energy rotated 90 degrees. The genuinely wild part: Pokemon cards have actually outperformed crypto and stocks over the past few years. The meta shifted from "digital assets" back to "things you can hold" because at least those have a physical scarcity story that isn't a complete fiction. But here's the thing. This specific move - ripping open sealed packs worth millions "without checking charts" - is how you know the asset class is cooked. When people start performing wealth destruction theater to feel virtuous about an investment, the top is in.

Sold ALL of my Crypto. Bought $2,750,000 worth of sealed Pokemon cards. Going to start ripping packs until they're all open, and won't check a single chart. Feeling calm and like I made the best decision in my life. You guys keep buying your scam coins that are going to 0. I’m going to buy REAL collectibles that have REAL value.
