Trump admin gold-plating horse statues with $100M

Trump administration is burning through National Park Service money to slap 23.75 karat gold leaf on four enormous bronze horses in DC. This isn't metaphorical. The rush job alone costs millions. Total DC beautification spend the reporter found: ~$100 million. The optics are so cartoonishly on-brand it almost feels like satire, but it's real. Dictators gild things. They put their names on currency. They commission statues. And apparently they start with gold horses.
