Trump just signed an agreement with Iran, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and supposedly heading toward durable peace. The claim: this gets energy prices down for Americans soon. Given Trump's track record on Iran policy (abandoning the JCPOA, maximum pressure, escalation), this is either completely made up or he's doing a 180 with zero strategy behind it. Either way, it's theater masquerading as diplomacy.
