Qatar just formally announced the expulsion of US military forces, becoming the first Gulf state to do it. The foreign minister called Qatar's relationship with Iran "brotherly" and guaranteed Qatari soil will never again be used against Iran. He accused the US of repeatedly breaking its promises and prioritizing Israeli interests at Qatar's expense: "If America truly cared about Qatar's interests, it would have respected our decision not to attack another country, but the reality is they used Qatari soil solely to protect Israel." He's also hoping the rest of the GCC follows suit. If they do, the entire US military architecture in the Gulf collapses. That's not an overstatement.
