Jake Lang, the January 6th guy, rolled up to a Khamenei vigil at Washington Square Park in a U-Haul van holding a live goat and screaming that Muslims need to leave. This is what American political discourse looks like now. The vigil itself had already gotten violent before they showed up. A counter-protester tried to rip down a Khamenei poster, a fight broke out, one person was left bleeding, multiple arrests made. So you had a crowd mourning a dead theocrat, then a MAGA troll in a moving van with a farm animal showing up to ethnically harass them. Everyone involved is performing, nobody is thinking, and the city just has to absorb it.
