Pentagon erases deaths to hide cease-fire failure
The Pentagon literally removed four servicemembers' names from the official casualty list because they died after Trump declared a cease-fire in April. Just deleted them. The explanation: their deaths no longer count because they happened on the wrong side of a line Trump drew.
This is what "declare victory and leave" looks like when people are still getting killed. Iran attacked nine US military sites in two weeks, destroyed infrastructure, and kept hitting Americans. But the narrative required those deaths to disappear from the official record.
It's not record-keeping. It's propaganda with a bureaucratic stamp.
New, from me and @ckoettl: Iran has attacked at least nine U.S. military sites in the last two weeks, destroying radar sites, personnel areas, hangars, and other structures, and killing at least three service members. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/22/world/middleeast/iran-war-us-bases-images.html
