Harry Potter fans need reeducation camps

Image for: Harry Potter fans need reeducation camps

Bigger picture

Part of a broader pattern where online discourse has been escalating from absurdist hyperbole (nuking San Francisco) to casual references to authoritarianism (reeducation camps, police suppressing political opposition in Elizabeth), suggesting the Overton window for unhinged rhetoric keeps expanding.

Someone on X posted this unhinged take about Harry Potter fans needing forced ideological correction, which is either a joke landing badly or a genuine window into how online rhetoric has normalized authoritarian rhetoric as a punchline.
