SCOTUS is locked in for decades

Alito just confirmed he's staying. Thomas isn't going anywhere either. That means the Supreme Court stays in right-wing hands for the next 20+ years unless something breaks. The only path forward is Senate control. Winning the Senate doesn't flip the court but it stops the bleeding - you can at least block the worst nominations and maybe, eventually, outlast some of them. Without the Senate, SCOTUS is gone as anything resembling a counterweight to executive power. This election is about whether the court stays a permanent fixture of Republican governance or whether you get at least a fighting chance to reshape it when seats finally open up.
