Trump admin blames allies for wars America started
The new spin: we started wars, lost them, and now it's Europe's fault for not letting us use their airbases to bomb the Middle East.
Secretary of Defense literally saying allies "failed a test" for not wanting to be complicit. The us-vs-them framing is transparent. America overthrew half these governments, started forever wars, and now gets to play victim when allies won't let us launch strikes from their territory.
This is what happens when you run out of actual justifications. You just start blaming everyone else.
