The "this could be Rome or Paris" framing is pure propaganda and it deserves to be called that directly. Italy didn't bomb Iran. Germany didn't assassinate Iranian generals. France isn't occupying anyone's land. The reason European capitals are not in Iran's crosshairs is not luck or geography. It's because they didn't start an unprovoked war. That's it. Full stop.
