Hassett's factory fantasy football

White House economic advisor Kevin Hassett is out here claiming 113,000 workers suddenly materialized to build factories after Trump took office, then pivots to a bizarre fantasy about yelling "let's go build a factory!" at a Michigan football game like he's recruiting for a pyramid scheme. The math doesn't hold. Factory construction employment is actually down since Trump's inauguration. The 113,000 number appears to conflate all manufacturing jobs added over the past four years (most under Biden's policies) with new factory construction specifically. Hassett is either lying or catastrophically confused about his own portfolio.
