Squamish Nation Sued for Their Land and Built 6,000 Homes

Squamish people were illegally kicked off this land over a century ago. They sued. They won. They got it back. Then they used their sovereignty to bypass local zoning entirely and build 6,000 homes while NIMBYs screamed into the void. Poetic justice is real and it sometimes comes with mixed-use residential development.
