Colombian president ignores earthquake for geopolitics

Gustavo Petro, a former cartel lawyer, is having a genuinely catastrophic week. Earthquake hits Colombia, he refuses international aid except from the US and Israel. Instead of focusing on disaster relief, he's spending time asking Washington to bomb Colombian territory, recognizing Israel's Golan Heights claim, and backing Morocco in the Western Sahara dispute. While people are dying under rubble, he's performing foreign policy theater for an audience that isn't even Colombian.
