NHL launches team-specific ETFs tied to on-court performance

VolShares just filed to launch 32 ETFs, one for each NHL franchise. Each tracks a single team's performance through futures contracts on the CME FSPI index, which measures cumulative team results across the regular season and playoffs. So you can now literally buy financial derivatives that rise and fall with whether the Bruins win or lose. The SEC filing is here if you want to stare into the abyss of where financialization goes next.
