Out of 1,427 alerts Flock sent to Roseville police flagging vehicles as stolen or used in felonies, 71% were completely wrong. One guy's car got misidentified six times.
This is the surveillance infrastructure cops are building: bulk data collection with a failure rate that makes a coin flip look reliable. And they're using it to justify stops and arrests.
