The Potato Origin Story Behind That BBC Headline

When I moved to China I didn't speak a word of Chinese. One of the first words I figured out was potato so I just kept asking for potatoes and tofu for the first week since that's all I could say. For the next two years one of the servers in the campus restaurant called me potato every time I walked in.
