CNN Accidentally Humanized Bomb Throwers
CNN ran a story about two men arrested for throwing homemade bombs at Zohran Mamdani's house and framed it like a feel-good lifestyle piece: "two guys were out on a nice walk, when suddenly their lives were changed forever, when they started throwing bombs."
They deleted it. Then issued a statement saying it "failed to reflect the gravity of the incident."
You cannot parody these people. They do it themselves.
A post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. It has therefore been deleted.
CNN's attempt at humanizing a news story about domestic political violence was so badly framed they had to delete it and apologize for breaching their own editorial standards.
