US Strips Taiwan's Last Fast-Deploy Unit for Middle East

The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, the only forward-deployed ground force that could respond immediately to a Taiwan invasion, is being pulled and sent to the Middle East. 2,200 Marines. Three warships. 20 F-35Bs. All of it now pointed at Iran. So while China watches and takes notes, the US is burning its Pacific rapid-response capacity on a war it didn't have a plan to win anyway.
