Iran Has a New Supreme Leader

Confirmed via Iranian state TV: Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Ali Khamenei and longtime deputy chief of staff in his father's office, has been appointed the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A dynastic handoff. The most powerful position in a theocratic state passed directly to the son. They'll dress it up in religious legitimacy but this is just hereditary autocracy with extra steps.
