Reporter profiles mosque shooter under pseudonym

A San Diego journalist appears to have published a sympathetic profile of a mosque shooter's family last year, framing them as victims of "mandatory white privilege curriculum." The family's home held dozens of weapons. The article has since been deleted, but the archive is still there. The reporter's recent media appearances talking to "the shooter and his mother" now look a lot less like original journalism and more like she had already embedded with them.

Hi, @amyforsandiego. Is this now-deleted article of yours from '25 a profile of one of the San Diego mosque shooters? Your headline says his family was "fighting back." Dozens of weapons were retrieved from their home. Parents' guns used to kill innocents. https://web.archive.org/web/20250628072907/https://www.iwfeatures.com/reports/this-california-family-is-fighting-back-against-a-mandatory-white-privilege-curriculum/
