Greenblatt wants to debate only if he wins first
Greenblatt strings along USA Today saying he'd debate Hasan Piker on antisemitism, then immediately adds the catch: Piker has to concede that Zionism is legitimate before they even start talking.
That's not a debate. That's asking someone to agree with you as a precondition for talking about whether to agree with you. It's the rhetorical equivalent of "we can discuss this once you admit I'm right."
USA Today, in a special on anti-Semitism, asks Hasan Piker and Jonathan Greenblatt if they'd be willing to have a sit-down together. "I'd love to," Piker says immediately. Greenblatt equivocates, suggests he'd only consider it if Piker "acknowledged the legitimacy of Zionism."
