In a system designed to turn everything into profit, someone in a position of actual power calling this out is rare. Doesn't solve anything but the contrast is stark.
The Pope just declared food, water, and healthcare are basic human rights that should not be commodified. He also urged the world to prioritize feeding the hungry over funding wars. In a world that’s being devoured by capitalist greed, a Pope with socialist leanings is welcome.
