Russians ran bot farms out of US data centers
Reddit subs got hammered when Ukrainian strikes hit Russian data centers. r/alabama and other communities saw activity plummet up to 80% after the infrastructure went dark.
Turns out the bot operations weren't just overseas. They were running from inside US server farms, pumping out disinformation at scale.
Reddit data show a massive decline in activity on some subs since the attack on Russian data centres. The Irish politics sub was down as much as 80% from one center.
