Starbucks Korea tanks on Gwangju anniversary

Starbucks Korea launched "Tank Day" tumblers on May 18 - literally the 46th anniversary of the Gwangju Democratisation Movement, the 1980 massacre that killed hundreds during a military crackdown. The branding and slogans explicitly evoked the killing. Complete tone-deafness or intentional provocation, hard to say which is worse. They apologized and cancelled the event after getting destroyed.
