Germans invented anti-AC pseudoscience
Had a german friend absolutely refuse to turn on AC in 90-degree Puerto Rico heat because "AC makes you sick." Full stop. No data, just vibes.
This tracks with the broader euro logic of deciding things are "unnatural" or "American" and therefore bad, while pretending it's rooted in some superior understanding of how the world works. It's just made-up voodoo dressed up in German efficiency aesthetics.
I used to think that Euros didn't like AC because of energy costs or window shapes but the more they talk about it the more it's clear they have some bizarre philosophical objection where for them AC is America-coded and thus gauche and decadent
European anti-AC hysteria is pseudoscience dressed up as philosophical superiority, not based on anything real.
