San Francisco goes red. Sort of.

California's most Democratic city sees its first meaningful GOP showing in ages. The early 2026 numbers show Republicans pulling 9% of returned ballots in SF, up from basically invisible. It's not a breakthrough. It's a data point in a heavily Democratic place that Democrats still dominate 68-59 among early returners. But for a precinct map that's been uniformly blue for decades, this registers as a novelty. The poster's "relish it while it lasts" is sarcasm. They're right to be skeptical. One early turnout snapshot in a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans 55 to 1 on the rolls doesn't predict anything.
