Yotam Haim was the hostage the IDF shot dead in Gaza after mistaking him for a Palestinian. His sperm was harvested from his corpse after death, despite him not being a soldier (military posthumous sperm retrieval is standard practice in Israel, civilian cases are different). A judge just ruled his family can use it with a surrogate. His mother is now searching for a woman to carry his child. She also said she was never angry at the IDF for killing her son. That last part is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
