Beshear to McConnell: prove you can still think

McConnell had a 17-minute conversation with his successor. He can call a news station for three minutes. Beshear's letter is demanding actual evidence the man can still do the job, not just show up. The bit about privacy is true but also beside the point. You don't get to run for Senate and then hide from voters because you need your peace and quiet. That trade was sealed the moment you filed the paperwork.

NEW: Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is demanding in a new letter that Mitch McConnell "directly and verbally address the people of Kentucky and provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign."
