US Quietly Exits Indo-Pacific While Wooing India

Everyone's clowning on the height difference in the photo. Nobody's asking the actual question. Why are India-US defense meetings ramping up at exactly the moment America is pulling back from the Indo-Pacific? This isn't partnership. This is America trying to subcontract its regional commitments to India while it retreats. Delhi gets the optics of a "growing strategic partnership." Washington gets to pretend it still has skin in the game without keeping troops there. If you're Indian, you should be asking who this arrangement actually benefits.
