Why are India-US defense meetings ramping up at exactly the moment America is pulling back from the Indo-Pacific?
This isn't partnership. This is America trying to subcontract its regional commitments to India while it retreats. Delhi gets the optics of a "growing strategic partnership." Washington gets to pretend it still has skin in the game without keeping troops there.
