Week of Jun 8

Trump's Iran "deal" is a fiction Iran keeps denying, even as Netanyahu's own security establishment calls the war a catastrophe. The US government force-disabled Anthropic's best models on Amazon's say-so, while Trump's public appearances turned into wall-to-wall booing.

Trump's Iran deal is a hallucination. He claimed a signing tomorrow and mass approval for an agreement Iran flatly rejects, while JD Vance still can't explain how WW2 ended defending it. It cratered oil prices on nothing. Netanyahu meanwhile folded, his own security establishment calling the deal a catastrophe, even as Trump reportedly floated nuclear strikes to Hersh's source. The US Navy killed Indian sailors enforcing the blockade and refused to apologize.

Washington moved to hardwire Israel in. Cotton wants to codify intelligence sharing so no future government can pull the lever, and an Israeli minister openly called for kidnapping Lebanese women and children. Israel is also plotting to buy 40 Greek islands while Albanians physically blocked Kushner's land grab.

The government nuked Anthropic on a rival's word. Amazon's Andy Jassy [ratted out Anthropic to Trump](/lrr0... )ratted out Anthropic to Trump, and the government force-disabled its best models with an export control, treating actually-careful AI as a weapon while OpenAI's hype machine skates.

Trump can't survive a live crowd. He got booed at MSG, booed at the NBA Finals, and cut off by his own network, then grifted UFC coins off a White House event. Stephen Miller, meanwhile, named his newborn to spell "HH". Read that twice.

China keeps winning the resource war. Beijing cut tungsten, killing Japan's chip-gas production, proving again who actually holds leverage while everyone else stages theater.
