Week of Aug 31
Netanyahu openly bragged he steered the US into the Iran war while Trump's own admin refuses to call it a war and begs China to stay out. The economy keeps sinking, Israel's crimes keep getting louder, and the White House shifted from governing to renaming states and launching a deportation arcade game.
Netanyahu says he ran US Iran policy. He bragged about manipulating Trump into the war and admitted he manufactured the US posture through media saturation, with no congressional pushback. Meanwhile the administration won't own it: Senator Mullin called it a war then denied it, Trump insisted he's "not running" anything, dismissed 18 dead soldiers as "small potatoes", and begged Xi to stay out because he can't stop China from doing whatever it wants.
Israel keeps documenting its own atrocities. A minister incited soldiers to murder Gaza babies, Ben-Gvir deleted a video using Holocaust imagery to dehumanize Palestinians, and Tel Aviv parents organized a school boycott over migrant kids. Huckabee joked about starving Gaza and [accused a Jewish British minister of antisemitism](/znvd wrong)[](/znod). But the grip is loosening: US coverage is breaking the taboo and Turkey raided Mossad agents in public.
Trump swapped governing for branding. He wants to rename New Mexico "New America", the US alone voted against fixing the map projection, and the White House launched a deportation arcade game. He also threatened Canada with economic extinction and Miller wouldn't rule out taking Greenland by force.
The economy nobody in the admin will explain. Hassett dodged the gas-price timeline, advisors denied visible reality, Trump thinks data centers use no energy, and his own voters are heading for the exit.
The left keeps winning. El-Sayed is building toward the general, while a Missouri court blocked the GOP's gerrymander.
