Ben Shapiro just announced he has no problem with multiracial casting in The Odyssey, gave it an 8 or 9 out of 10, and threw in the observation that Greeks aren't actually white. This is what happens when someone builds a brand on "facts and logic" but never bothered learning any history. Greeks are Europeans. The entire debate is paint-by-numbers culture war theater dressed up as principle. Shapiro's late-game pivot to "actually this is fine" while gesturing vaguely at ethnography is the exact kind of unprincipled nonsense his followers should find embarrassing, but they won't notice because the format (strong opinion, quick dismissal) is what they're paying for, not accuracy.
