The "Love You" Coffee Shop Is a Dystopia

A new coffee chain opened and the script requires staff to say "love you" when they hand you your drink. All the workers are 18-20 year old women. The line is 90% women. "The pain in these girls voice as they reluctantly looked me in my eyes to say 'LOVE YOU' as I got my cold brew." Mandatory performed intimacy as a business model. Forcing young women to say "I love you" to strangers for minimum wage is not a vibe, it's just coercion with an aesthetic.
