Republicans holding a rally outside California State Capitol to fight a bill they named after one of their own. Protesters showed up to clash with them. At least one person detained so far. The whole thing is ridiculous on its face: a law with someone's name on it, opposition theater cranked up to max, and actual street confrontation over what amounts to partisan posturing.
