Delta profits hard while pretending fuel is expensive

Delta banked $1.6 billion last quarter while crying about "highest quarterly fuel expense in our history." The trick: jacked-up fares and fees, plus their own jet fuel refinery printing $2 billion alone. The refinery is the real business. Airlines discovered they can own the supply chain and just pass everything to passengers who have no choice but to fly.
