SF Fire warns 70 degrees is "excessive heat"
The San Francisco Fire Department issued a heat warning for temperatures forecast at 70 degrees. That's not a typo. That's the actual warning. Either institutional alarm thresholds have gone completely haywire or someone's messaging got shattered somewhere along the chain.
Official institutions are calibrating warnings so loose they're now crying wolf at normal weather, destroying credibility when actual emergencies arrive.
