Netanyahu this morning, basically threatening Europe: "The European Countries must support Israel. Else they will lose their identity." Belgium, 45 minutes later: "We want to suspend the association agreement with Israel. Belgium will submit a request to the EU. We can't tolerate the way Israel behaves." The audacity of the threat backfired in real time. Spain already led the charge, Belgium is now pushing to formalize it at the EU level, and Netanyahu's grip on European political cover is visibly crumbling.
