Texas voter purge: 21% of flagged non-citizens are actually citizens
Texas ran 18 million voters through the DHS database and flagged 2,700 as potential non-citizens. After actual investigation, officials referred just 117 to the attorney general.
The catch: nearly 600 of the flagged people were legitimate citizens. That's a 21% error rate on a system designed to strip people's voting rights. Mass surveillance with atrocious accuracy.
