Amazon kills Sam Altman biopic over partnership

Amazon MGM Studios just dropped the distribution rights to a completed Andrew Garfield film about Altman because it might upset OpenAI, their new $50 billion business partner. Test screenings were positive. The movie is done. Doesn't matter. Corporate partnerships trump art every time. The producers are now begging other studios to touch it. This is what happens when a mega-corporation decides a relationship with another mega-corporation matters more than the product sitting on your shelf. Pure institutional cowardice masked as strategy.
