Yuma, Arizona: Sunniest City on Earth

4,055 sunny hours per year out of a possible 4,456. Not the sunniest in the US. The sunniest on the entire planet. Also somehow responsible for 90% of America's leafy greens grown between November and March. Sunshine and salad. That's Yuma's whole personality and honestly it slaps.

As someone who lives in the 1200-1600 hours zone in the UK, I'm astonished at how much sun the south-west Unites States gets. I considered 2025 as a lovely summer in central Scotland, but we're sunshine peasants compared to some places.

Yuma, Arizona holds the title of sunniest city on earth and quietly feeds most of America's winter salad habit, two facts that almost nobody knows.
