Schools Closed for NFL Draft. No, Really.
Pittsburgh Public Schools is shutting down for three days and forcing "asynchronous" remote learning because the NFL Draft is coming to town.
The official reason: too many visitors in the city, so this will "ensure students can continue learning safely and effectively."
The kids get disrupted education so the league can have its little party. Priorities locked in.
Pittsburgh canceling school for three days to accommodate NFL Draft foot traffic is exactly as absurd as it sounds, and the "safety" framing makes it worse.
