Right-wingers spent decades insisting social structure doesn't exist, which is why there are almost no conservative sociologists. Now they've done a full reversal: feminism, DEI, and "cultural Marxism" are supposedly architecting the whole system. The contradiction doesn't matter. They've just swapped one sociology for another, except theirs is pure conspiracy thinking dressed up as analysis. Algorithms force everyone to pattern-match their own experience into broader systems. When you're trained to think that way, you either build actual understanding or you build paranoia. Conservatives chose paranoia. So the real shortage isn't of conservative sociologists. It's the fact that acknowledging social structures exist requires admitting you're not just a self-made individual. Conservatives can't handle that.
