Ken Paxton was raised in California. That's the entire bit: the Texas AG who built his persona on culture war hard-line politics and attacking blue states is a California transplant. The self-styled defender of Texas values against coastal elites is exactly what he claims to despise. It's the kind of hypocrisy that gets funnier the more you sit with it.
