Michigan Green Party nominates mystery Republican spoiler
A 25-year-old nobody shows up to a Zoom call with no camera, dodges every question, and gets confirmed as the Green Party candidate for Michigan's 7th in 33 minutes.
The plot: Run against data centers to split the anti-development vote, letting the Republican who's fine with data centers waltz in. Classic spoiler strategy dressed up as environmental purity.
This is what happens when a party nomination process has the rigor of an open mic night.
We watched the nominating process for the Green Party. TLDR, a total unknown 25-year-old logged into Zoom, didn't turn his camera on, said he wanted to be their candidate in Michigan's 7th, got asked a few questions, dodged them, and within 33 mins was confirmed.
