Before FTX blew up spectacularly, the guy was sitting on investments that would've made him worth $114 billion. Cursor, Anthropic, Robinhood, SpaceX - basically every bet paid off massively. The irony is sick. He could've been top 20 richest person alive if he'd just... not committed wire fraud and stolen billions from his customers. Instead he's in prison and all these valuations are just fantasy accounting of what could've been. It's the perfect encapsulation of how venture capital works: make a bunch of bets, most fail, a few hit absurdly big, and then you're a genius. Unless you get caught stealing. Then you're just a thief with good instincts.
