NC State safety bumps, 35 million question
Guy's reported faulty safety bumps four times to NC State and nothing happened. Meanwhile, some dude just filed a 35 mil claim against San Diego for tripping on a broken sidewalk.
The pattern is clear: institutions ignore safety hazards until someone gets hurt enough to sue. Then suddenly there's money to throw around. Reporting it repeatedly doesn't matter. Legal threat matters.

NEW: 70 year old man files a $35 million claim against the city of San Diego, California after he tripped on a damaged sidewalk. The man reportedly was knocked unconscious from the fall, breaking his back and neck. Attorney William Berman says his client tripped on the metal base of a parking meter that had been removed. “They protrude about an inch to two inches from the sidewalk. The city needs to make sure they’re taking out these bases from the sidewalks,” he said.
