I read the news so you don't have to

Trump brokered Hasidic peace? Sure.

Two Satmar Rebbe brothers who haven't spoken in decades shook hands at the White House and exchanged pleasantries. Trump asked if they were twins, they clarified they're brothers, one congratulated the other on a grandson's engagement. This is being pitched as Trump achieving peace. It's not. Two old men being civil at a photo op isn't a geopolitical win, it's just two old men being civil. But sure, if mediating small talk between relatives counts as Nobel-level statesmanship, the bar has officially collapsed to the floor.

Drama in the Hasidic world. After dozens of years, the Satmar Rebbe brothers spoke for the first time in the White House and even shook hands. The peace was achieved by President Trump. The two Rebbes exchanged greetings, with Rav Aharon wishing his brother Mazel Tov on his grandson’s recent engagement. Trump reportedly asked whether the two were twins, prompting Reb Aron to answer that, "We are brothers." Source: @YWNReporter
